These days

negative consequences of piracy are two-fold. Firstly, the Copyright owners are

likely to suffer significant financial losses. Secondly, the Copyright owner

loses recognition, if the source of the material is unacknowledged.

Therefore it is important for all citizens to become educated about piracy

issues, to follow copyright laws in their own lives, and to encourage their

colleagues and friends to do the same.
